The NIH Office of Data Science Strategy (ODSS) presents the DataForce Symposium, showcasing DATA Scholars and DataPath Fellows advancing data science discovery, implementation, and sustainability across NIH. The event highlights their impact at the intersection of data science and biomedical and health research, including AI and machine learning, knowledge graphs, data infrastructure, and responsible data use, marking a key step in building a sustainable NIH data science workforce.

Getting onto the NIH Campus

All visitors must have a REAL ID to enter federal facilities, including the NIH campus. You will need to present this ID during security checks at NIH. U.S. permanent residents should bring their green cards. For a complete list of approved identification, please refer to this website.

 Travel reimbursement is only available for active/alumni DATA Scholars and DataPath Fellows

  • Airfare: Economy-class airfare is covered; the nearest airports to NIH are DCA, IAD, and BWI (maximum reimbursement of $1,000).
  • Hotel Accommodation:  Hotel information will be provided soon. 
  • Meal and Incidental Expenses: Can be reimbursed for $69 per day or a total of $138 for the two-day event.
  • Public Transportation: Uber, Lyft, or taxi expenses to and from the airport are covered (maximum reimbursement of $150). You may utilize the Metro Trip Planner to plan your commute.
